Extension cords

An extension cord is good to take with you if don't want your generator to close to camp.

To have your generator (or power supply) further away from camp so there is more silence while it's running

(I took a generator away and forgot this and so we could only use it to charge our phones)

You can use it for many other things like if you have lights or your car battery goes flat.
