Suggestions for places to be over the 2019 Christmas period?

Travelling from Perth to Melbourne November to January.

Looking for ideas of where to stay for Christmas and New years.

Mum, dad, girls age 6 and 4.

Definitely The Grampians. For scenery, it's beautiful and all the Roos come out at dusk.

Venus Baths are easy to access. Mackenzie Falls is lovely but a harder walk down and up.

Great Ocean Road including Warrnambool - watch Oddball beforehand so you can recognise some of the locations from the film.

Echuca on the Murray is the nicest of the places along the Murray. Bright is a lovely spot too. Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade. Ballarat is a nice historical town and Sovereign Hill is a good day out.

Closer to Melb city, Healesville is less than an hour's drive to the CBD and is lovely.

I would do Great Ocean Road before school holidays start as it might be hard to get accomm/sites during the hols.

Plan your trip and start booking your stays now for Christmas Hols as a lot of locations book out from Boxing Day to mid Jan. Enjoy! It's a beautiful state.
